Maxi Dress Mania

My clients are in love with long dresses.  And I just can’t blame them because no item packs a bigger punch this spring.  My closet currently contains multiple maxis that I have acquired through my travels and shopping adventures, and I just can’t stop wearing them!  Dress them up, dress them down, no matter how you decide to wear your maxis, they are sure to be your go-to pieces for the season.  Here are some of my favorite online finds for your preferred maxi style and my tips on how to wear them.

For the Sophisticate: $118 at Bloomingdale’s

This maxi doesn’t need a ton of accessorizing because the design lines give it pure elegance.  Try pairing it with a sleek sandal with a back-strap (not a flip-flop that makes noise…this dress is way too elegant for that!) and simple gunmetal or clear drop earrings.

For the Dramatic: $175 at Zappos

Hello Drama-Queen!  Black and white is seriously hot for spring and summer, and no one but a true dramatic could pull it off in this “look-at-me” pattern.  To turn up the volume even more, try swapping the black belt for one in a color like gold, yellow or coral.  Stack your bangles half-way up your forearm and finish out your accessories with an over-sized hoop earring.

For the Sportster: $98 at Athleta

You sporty gals need a go-to dress that will work into your casual and fun lifestyle.  This simple maxi in a great spring color leaves plenty of room for accessory interpretation.  Pile on the medallion necklaces to make this a look all your own.  Feel free to flip-flop away in this maxi.

For the Trendsetter: $149 at The Trend Boutique

This maxi will be the serious talk of the town.  Pair with black sandals (flat or heeled) and an art-deco inspired bib necklace.  Or, opt for structured, dangling earrings in a mixed metal design.

For the Romantic: $53.55 at Asos

This is my personal favorite, and I am struggling with the decision to buy it now or later!  Perfect for those romance fiends, this maxi makes a truly lovely spring statement.  Try pairing it with nude wedges for added height and a lady-like look.  Select chandelier earrings that will move with this maxi.
