It’s that time of year again! Yes, fall fashions are in the air, and the date is set for my Fall Style Show at Neiman Marcus Fort Worth. I will showcase my favorite “looks” for fall with plenty of tips on how to wear my key pieces and how to build a fabulous and well-utilized wardrobe this season.

Black and white ruled the red carpet at the Oscars last night. High contrast and understated accessories had a major showing, while most hair remained sleek and makeup was minimal.
Here are my top picks from the red carpet at the Academy Awards:
Gwyneth Paltrow was stunning at both the Grammy’s and the Oscars this year. Her stark white gown screams “fashion forward” with accented shoulders and matching cape. While her hair style has been controversial and her makeup is super minimal, it matches her overall look elegantly.

Emma Stone looked lovely in one of the only colored gowns of the evening, proving that red-heads really can wear red! She looks totally age appropriate and flawless.

Jennifer Lopez looked super sexy last night in a plunging gown with cut-out arms. The striped fabric accentuated her lovely frame, as did her high and sleek bun with understated lips.

My personal favorite of the evening! I love Sandra Bullock’s black and white gown with gold detailing. She chose to wear her jewelry on her dress! This look is so modern and made complete by her high ponytail and soft earrings.

Angelina Jolie was the most daring of the evening in her thigh-high leg slit. I love the intensity of her dress’s fabric and the contrast between her lips and gown. She is the essence of drama!

Grab your girlfriends and head out for some local shopping. 360 West is hosting its very first Trunk Show Thursday on March 8th from 5 to 8pm on 7th street. The 7th street boutiques will be offering cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as you peruse their new spring merchandise. I’ll be attending the event and would love to meet up with you for some shopping!

I love presenting style shows for Neiman Marcus, and this fall has been no exception. It is always fun to hang out with my clients and talk fashion trends. Oh course, it helps when the fashion trends you are talking about come from Neiman’s…their pieces are gorgeous! My favorite find during the style show is a snake bangle by Alexis Bittar. I really want it to come live with me. Maybe around Christmas time??? Here are my photos of the event. I got so busy speaking that I didn’t have anyone take photos of the models dressed in my “looks.” I’ve noted this issue for next season! Take a peak and think on your favorite trends for the season and how you would like to incorporate them into your fall wardrobe. Happy shopping!
My two mannequins that provided the backdrop for the style show. Aren’t they lovely?
Rachel Zoe jacket and hot pink blouse.
Alexis Bittar bangles.
70’s inspired medallion necklaces.
More bangles (my snake cuff is in the middle)!

Dean Kingston is one of my favorite stores in the area for trendy men’s clothing, and I love their selection of evening dresses and tops for women. After just days back in Texas from my training in NYC, I had the wonderful opportunity of judging the Miss Teen Dallas/Fort Worth Beauty Pageant through America’s Beauty Pageants. I have been contacted multiple times by beauty pageants in the DFW area asking me if I would consider judging. I have always said “no” because of a schedule conflict or, potentially, a fear of getting sucked into a Toddler and Tiaras situation. So this pageant season, when ABP contacted me, I decided to dive in. I am so very thankful that something made me say “yes” to the opportunity because judging the pageant was an amazing experience. The girls were beautiful people (inside and out), and I greatly enjoyed getting to meet my fellow judges (photographers, fashion designers, and various business owners). Here is a peek at my pageant weekend:
My pageant entourage (L to R: Katie, Kami, Me and Tara). I am so appreciative of my sweet friends that support all of my fashion endeavors!
